Summary: We report transcriptome profiling from three developing stages of anthers in sorghum. Sequencing of nine libraries (three replicates from each stage) yielded >1.12 billion paired-end reads. A total of 31871 known genes expressed in all three replicates of at least one anther stage.

Overall Design: Examination of 3 different stages of anther development in Sorghum bicolor variety M35-1
