Gallus gallus domesticus
Information about Chicken Genome
Chicken(Gallus gallus domesticus) is a type of domesticated fowl, a subspecies of the red junglefowl. It is widely domesticated around the world. Their meat and their eggs are important food for humans.
The draft genome sequence of the red Jungle fowl, inbred line UCD001 was published in 2004[1], and the Gallus_gallus-5.0 (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/assembly/GCF_000002315.4) assembly of the chicken genome was released in December 2015 by the International Chicken Genome Consortium. It contains the following data:

Genome Re-sequencing Projects and Variation Identification
Recently, thousands of chicken accessions have been sequenced. Such as:
●Ulfah M et al. 2016 Genetic features of red and green junglefowls and relationship with Indonesian native chickens Sumatera and Kedu Hitam [2].
●Wragg D et al. 2015 Genome-wide analysis reveals the extent of EAV-HP integration in domestic chicken[3].
●Wragg D et al. 2015 Genome-wide analysis reveals the extent of EAV-HP integration in domestic chicken[3].
We gathered these data, and identified variations using our standard computational pipeline.
