Microbial DNA was extracted from intestinal content samples using the QIAamp DNA Stool Mini Kit, PCR products from all samples were pooled in equimolar and purified using the GeneJETTM Gel Extraction Kit. Sequencing libraries were generated using Ion Plus Fragment Library Kit 48 rxns. The library quality was evaluated on the Qubit@ 2.0 Fluorometer. Finally, the library was sequenced on an Ion S5TM XL platform and 400 bp single-end reads were generated. |
