Summary: We report the single-cell RNA sequencing data obtained from MDA-MB-231 breast cancer cells cultured in standard DMEM with 25 mM glucose, or adapted to culture in DMEM with 10 mM fructose to reduce glycolysis, and then cultured as mammospheres

Growth Protocol: MDA-MB-231 cells were adapted to culture in 2D in DMEM containing either 25 mM glucose or 10 mM fructose, for 30 days.
Treatment Protocol: Adapted cell cultures were plated on low attachment plates in conditioned media from their respective 2D cultures. Resultant mammospheres were cultured for 10 days
