Description Eriobotrya japonica cv. Seventh Star is a new cultivar bred by the team of Dr. Xueying Zhang in Shanghai Academy of Agricultural Sciences (Shanghai, China). The young leaves were collected from an individual of Seventh Star on Mar. 20, 2019 at the experimental farm of Shanghai Academy of Agricultural Sciences in Zhuanhang Town (Shanghai, China). This tree were 14 years old and considered to be in the adult phase. The leaves were frozen in liquid nitrogen and stored at ultra-low temperature freezer until DNA extraction. Total genomic DNA was extracted from the leaf tissues following the CTAB protocol
