Description |
Pigeon has special biological characteristics. The crop of both male and female could secret nutrient solution as mammalian milk (pigeon milk) to breed squabs. The yield and quality of pigeon milk affect weight and immunity of squabs. So pigeon milk could be an important trait for breeding. The current study focused on regulation mechanism of hormone, and few study on difference in gene expression. miRNA is an important endogenous unencoding small RNAs which control expressions of genes, but the molecular regulating mechanisms are still not clear. Therefore, we use non lactation pigeon in rearing stage and lactation pigeon in lay stage as experience materials both for male and female. The differential expressions of miRNA are detected by small RNA sequencing. Bioinformatics analysis is used to mapping gene network. The effect of overexpression and knockdown of the important genes on growth of crop epithelial cells and milk secretion by crop are studied in cell and adult. based on the phenotypic data of biopsies and serum hormone. Combined the small RNA data with data of biopsies and serum hormone discuss the mechanisms of pigeon milk secretion. Molecular basis for culturing high-quality breeds will be laid. |
