Description |
The present study was carried in order to : characterize the transcriptome of jute and generate a broad survey of genes associated with vegetative growth and development in Corchorus olitorius , develop a large-scale data set of SSRs from transcriptomic sequences and to identify the expression profiles of bast-related genes involved in cellulose biosynthesis. The discovered genes and newly developed SSRs will not only facilitate genomic studies, but also enrich molecular markers available for jute. The identified bast-related genes will provide a valuable knowledge to study cellulose biosynthesis. |
