Title Discovery of unique single nucleotide polymorphisms associated with high nighttime temperature stress in rice using a hybrid sequencing strategy
Relevance Agricultural
Data types Raw sequence reads
Organisms Oryza sativa
Description First, comparative transcriptomics between a heat-tolerant strain and heat-sensitive strain in response to high nighttime temperature stress was carried out using a hybrid sequencing strategy (TGS and SGS) to detect the relative differentially expressed genes (RDEGs). Second, the genomic homologous DNA sequences of the RDEGs were retrieved from the reference genome. Third, genome re-sequencing for both HTS and HSS was performed, and the generated short reads were used to call unique SNP loci for the RDEGs, using the retrieved homologous DNA sequences as a reference.
