Description A high-density genetic map for G. biloba were constructed by using SLAF-seq. To our knowledge, this is the most highly dense genetic map for G. biloba build with sequence-based makers. This platform is not only useful for locating the sequence assemblies along the chromosomes of Ginkgo, but also highly desirable the identification of QTLs and genes underlying agronomic traits of this living fossil plant, such as its outstanding tolerance to abiotic stress, highly resistance to plant diseases and pests, and the biological synthesis of multiple medicinal ingredients.
