Organisms Antirrhinum majus
Description The genuns Antirrhinum (Plantaginaceae) is a member of the asteroid clade of flowering plants, and native to the western Mediterranean. It comprises 20 morphologically diverse species. The cultivated Antirrhinum majus has been served as a model organism to study inheritance, biochemical, the genetic control of development and flower color for more than 80 years. Here, we report the 35.9 Gb genome raw sequence of the Antirrhinum majus with estimated genome of 634Mb, obtained by using Pacbio sequencing approach. The genome was assembled using HGAP software, resulting in a final assemble 6201 contigs (N50, 1.0Mb).
