Plateau Adaptability

Analysis of adaptive traits in the Qinghai Tibet Plateau

Data types Transcriptome or Gene expression
Organisms Homo sapiens
Description To study the molecular mechanism of hypoxia adaptation in Tibetans and pinpoint the gene network involve in hypoxia stress during human embryo development, we gathered human umbilical vein endothelia cells from Han in sea level, Han and Tibetan in Qinghai Tibet plateau. Primary cultured cell were treated with hypoxia condition for 48 hours. Transcriptome of these cells from 6 different time points (0, 6, 12, 22, 34, 48 hrs) were obtained and compared.
Sample scope Primary cultured cell line
