To explore more details about the genetic basis of severe acne, we perform Identity-by-descent mapping in the Chinese Han population based on the dataset of genome-wide SNPs from 1031 cases and 1031 controls. Further genotyping of 475 SNPs in 1150 cases and 5207 controls validates risk genes for severe acne in the Chinese Han population.
