Sample name |
Wild type and miR408 overexpressor |
Title |
Arabidopsis seedlings |
Sample type |
Plant sample |
Organism |
Arabidopsis thaliana |
Description |
MiR408 is highly conserved among different plant species that targets the transcripts for copper-containing proteins. Transgenic Arabidopsis overexpressing miR408 showed a significant increase in plant morphology, and thus resulting in increased biomass production and seed yield, suggesting that miR408-mediated development might represent a common mechanism in flowering plants and that miR408 can be of potential interest as a candidate gene for the domestication of new agricultural crops. |
