Accession SAMC017083
Sample name Wild type and miR408 overexpressor
Title Arabidopsis seedlings
Sample type Plant sample
Organism Arabidopsis thaliana
Description MiR408 is highly conserved among different plant species that targets the transcripts for copper-containing proteins. Transgenic Arabidopsis overexpressing miR408 showed a significant increase in plant morphology, and thus resulting in increased biomass production and seed yield, suggesting that miR408-mediated development might represent a common mechanism in flowering plants and that miR408 can be of potential interest as a candidate gene for the domestication of new agricultural crops.
