Description We resequenced 347 pepper accessions covering 12 species of genus Capsicum from 31 countries, and investigated the genomic selection and genetic variations associated to traits during its domestication and breeding improvement. The 12 Capsicum species include five cultivated species and ten wild species. 311 out of the 347 accessions are belong to C. annuum, including 309 advanced inbred lines and two wild samples. These accessions were resequenced into an average depth of ~9x coverage of the reference genome (C. annuum Zunla-1).
