Title MicroRNA Profiling in Mammary Gland of Dairy Cows Under Heat Stress
Relevance Agricultural
Data types Transcriptome or Gene expression
Raw sequence reads
Organisms Bos taurus
Description Heat stress decreases milk yield and milk protein yield. However, only approximately 30-50% of the decrease in overall milk protien yield can be accounted by the decreased feed intake. To investigate the role of miRNA in the decrease of milk protein in heat stress, miRNA expression in bovine mammary glands were characterized by next-generation sequencing with and without a heat stress challenge.
Sample scope Monoisolate
