Description |
In this study, we collected samples from three major rice production provinces in China, for two harvest years. Our study aimed to, 1) characterize the taxonomic and functional profiles of the microbial communities of rice seeds and rhizosphere; 2) define the core microbiota of seed and rhizosphere samples from different geographical locations, and track the possible transmission paths (horizontal or vertical) of seed microbiota; 3) infer the significance of environmental and geographical factors shaping the microbial community. |
