Title Evolutionary dynamics of transposable elements during silkworm domestication
Relevance Evolution
Data types Whole genome sequencing
Organisms Bombyx mandarina
Bombyx mori
Description In this study, we performed the whole genome sequencing of 8 domestic silkworms (Bombyx mori) and 7 wild silkworms (bombyx mandarina). The samples of domestic silkworm were obtained from the differential strains including 7532, Jianpuzhai, HB05, S02, S03, Xianghui, Xiaoshiwan, and Yanjinhuang. The wild silkworms were obtained from the differential region of china. Using this data, we systematically analyze the evolutionary dynamics of transposable elements during silkworm domestication.
