Description Tumor heterogeneity is vital for the therapy of gastric cancer (GC). The heterogeneity of GC at single cell resolution are still elusive by far. We performed single-cell RNA sequencing analysis of 22,241 cells isolated from tumour and adjacent normal mucosae of 9 GC patients, which covers all the subtypes of Lauren's pathological classification. The transcriptional profiles of malignant epithelium revealed five molecular subtypes of GC. In conclusion, our study provides a deeper insight into the heterogeneity of GC, and offers guidance for precision diagnosis and treatment.
